This painting was inspired by a 2” x 3” collage I did a number of
years ago. The strange imagery of the blindfolded girl intrigued me. I knew
that I wanted to use the imagery in a painting - but I didn’t feel a
visceral connection to it until I had a dream about it. In the dream I saw
this particular collage and received the title. I then felt the inspiration
to do the painting - some of the imagery changed as I worked on the painting
- but the central figure and the “eye of God” remained true to the
collage.
